Too often, if our young do not fit into neuro-typical, developmental or conventional parameters, our fear marginalizes, trivializes, idolizes, utilizes and categorizes them.
When young people are in environments where their differences are
suppressed, Assimilated or Mainstreamed
they may often experience:
*Nightmares *Reclusiveness *Eating Disorders *Mood Swings
*Aggression *Apathy *Self-harm
The J.K. Rowling film "Fantastic Beasts" poignantly demonstrates what can happen when our natural inclinations are suppressed. A destructive black "Obscurus" begins to grow from the frustration, depression and anger that results when we don't allow our light to shine.
